When your child is absent, you must notify the school - by using the link at the bottom of this page, sending a note, or writing in your child's agenda - with an explanation for the absence. The CMS Parent Student Handbook (page 12) lists the types of absences that are excused and those that are unexcused. Note: Do not plan to check your child out from school before 2:45 p.m. unless you have a medical or dental appointment. If your child has a medical or dental appointment that requires early dismissal, please sign them out before 2:00 p.m. We do not call students for dismissal between 2:00 and 2:45 p.m. due to the disruption it creates in our regular dismissal proceedings.
